Essay 1: What excites you most about your intended field of study?
Essay 2: What do you see yourself doing professionally upon graduation and how will a degree from California College help you achieve these aspirations?
Essay 3: Discuss any attributes, experiences, or interests that would enable you to make a distinctive contribution to the school and/or business profession.

GMAT/GRE scores or test waiver. As part of our admissions process, we require either the GMAT or GRE exam. We do not have a preference for either exam and evaluate candidates equally across both.

GMAT/GRE test waivers are granted based on applicants’ previous education and work background.

TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores; Required for international students; waived for students with degrees from US institutions or above 50% on verbal section of the GMAT/GRE.

Academic records : Official transcripts directly from the institution should be ordered on the application portal and sent to BusinessCas. *Foreign Transcripts (non-US): Official evaluations should be ordered on the application portal and sent directly to Business School

Admission Requirements

Complete your Statement of Purpose Essay. Statement of Purpose essay prompts (see below) vary by program. International students should review additional information for international students.
Statement of Purpose
Your statement of purpose must be a clear and legible draft focusing on the specific guidelines of the program and the chosen emphasis you are applying for at the School of Education and Counseling Psychology. Your statement must include evidence of your commitment to Social Justice, Multiculturalism and Diversity. Please limit your statement to two pages – typed and double-spaced. You must not receive any assistance writing or editing the personal statement; it must be your own original work

Submit a current resume.

Provide one copy of official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended, showing a minimum 3.0 undergraduate or master GPA.

Provide letters of recommendation (see below - two for Education programs, three for Counseling Psychology programs)
Complete additional program specific requirements as necessary Letters of Recommendation
Letters of recommendation should be from individuals who have served in supervisory or evaluative roles with you. This may include professors, instructors, managers, job supervisors, clinical supervisors, volunteer coordinators, supervisors of volunteer work, or similar. Letters of recommendation should not be from personal friends, family members, or personal therapists. We realize that letters from such individuals may not be possible for some applicants. If you will be requesting a letter from someone that does not fit these guidelines, please briefly explain why; the expectation is that the people writing letters for you should still be able to comment on your professional capacity as a practitioner.

A Bachelor Degree.

One official transcript from each academic institution attended, indicating the degree received and date of conferral.
Engineer's Degree (Master's Degree required)

A completed online Application for Admission to Engineering Graduate Programs, including a nonrefundable $90 application fee

A 500-word statement of purpose emphasizing the applicant’s research interests and outlining the applicant’s professional and academic goals, which must be included with the online application

At least one Bachelor's Degree.

At least one Master's Degree.

Foreign Transcript Evaluation Companies
University or College Transcript - Transcripts from any previous degree or diploma must be mailed directly to California College’s International Admissions office.
